Clan of Controlled Chaos Constitution/Rules/Regulations

*if you have suggestions or comments regarding this document - refer them to an eldermember*

Introduction

The Clan of Controlled Chaos was created on July 5th, 1999 on the gaming service MPlayer.com.
The Clan was initially a spinoff of a very successful clan called TTC (the Terminal Clan) that
had roots in the game Terminal Velocity. Our primary game during clan inception was Aliens vs.
Predator. Although AvP was not much of a team game, clan pride was felt through participation
in tournaments and special events. When the ranked lobby was set up in AvP it only strengthened
our position as a worthy clan when many of our members were ranked within the top ten for multiple months. During our height in AvP the Clan of Controlled Chaos had 80 active members.

When MPlayer was finally shut down and Gamespy took it's place in April 2001, we decided
to expand to other games. The game Counterstrike allowed CCC to strengthen again, many of
the members we have today joined us from CS. That game kept CCC alive...now many of our members play multiple games.

Purpose

This is the Clan of Controlled Chaos Constitution. These will be the rules and guidelines used
to make policy within CCC. This document can and will be ammended when required/as needed to ensure that our gaming community rules are documented. Our mission above all else is to have fun while spreading the CCC name to as many gaming cicles as possible.

Clan Conduct

Elder Members are the clan's governing body. There is no single leader of the clan. Any decisions that would change the clan as a whole are made by the Elder Members. An Elder Member has the ability to make spot decisions for the good of the clan should a situation require immediate action.

Any disputes or conflicts within the clan should be handled in the following manner:
1. Attempt to resolve your differences with the member via Private means (ICQ/AIM/MSN/EMAIL etc)
2. If you are still unable to resolve your differences please go to an Elder Member with any
situation that may require attention

If there is a dispute and it is not resolved privately, either between the disputants or with the
mediation of an Elder, there may be sanctions braught upon you. The Elder members will decide on a punishment and it will be enforced. We won't tolerate any public or private harassment of another
member or regular of CCC for any reason, or anything that may embarrass the clan's image.

Recruiting Policy

1. To join the Clan of Controlled Chaos a candidate must play the game which the clan is based
around at the time, and or another game that is acceptable by the majority. Currently we play Battlefield 2, Counter-Strike: Source and DOD Source. This clan is for players of all experience levels and all are welcomed into the clan. This is a competetive clan, but it we are also here to have fun.

1.(a) subject to vote by Eldermembers - New rule being proposed as of 18 Oct 2005/ Members must submit proof of age if an Eldermember or any other members of the clan feel that the recruiting member is under false pretense of age at the time of appliacation. Age requirement is 18 years of age or older - this rule will apply to members who act or sound of a younger age then previously stated - if your actions affect our clan status then you will be dismissed and not allowed any admission.

2. The candidate must stay in contact with the clan through regular gaming, forums, Teamspeak 2, E-Mail, or any messenger service (MSN messsenger and or XFire).

3. When the candidate is chosen (specificly told by an eldermember) as a recuit he/she will be kept in that position for a minimum of a month to determine whether or not they are suited to join CCC. The candidate must play with/against other CCC members and or be a regular in any one of the games the Clan of Controlled Chaos participates in. A poll will be posted (by an eldermember), after a month of probation has been served, to determine whether the recruit is considered an asset to the clan.

Leaving/Rejoining The CCC

1. Members leaving the clan for personal reasons(real life issues, not to join another clan) will be allowed to join the clan again if there is a vote (conducted by active CCC members only) and the person is voted back in by majority. If that person decides to leave a second time, they will not be allowed to reapply. (2nd chance rule)

*note: situations must be valid and reason and situations based on the re-joining will be subject to vote by eldermembers only for all members wanting to re-join*

2. Members who leave to join other clans will have to repeat the probation period and come before the Elder members to explain their actions. A reason for leaving for another clan must be given, and a reason why you want back into the Clan of Controlled Chaos must be stated. If the Elder Council acknowledges the reason for leaving, the Elder Members will allow the member to
serve a probation period of a month. Once the month probation expires, the person must be voted in by a clan vote in which majority will re-instate them as a full member.

3. Members kicked from the clan due to an Elder Council decision regarding their conduct will not be allowed back and are gone for good. There is no second chances because the Elder Members and other members have already given them numerous warnings on conduct and the member persisted in his/her actions. This applies to disputes and conflicts as well. Any member(s) who constantly fight with other members or between one another in the clan after repeated warnings will be reviewed by the Elder Council and may be discharged. This will apply to admin status, abuse of admin, wether it be on the forums, and or game servers hosted by this clan that members have access to.

4. If a member is chosen to represent us, we require that they don our tag in the following manner.
