Church of Clancy
Platoon Presentation
..the Church of Clancy? First of all, let it be made very clear that the Church of Clancy should not be confused with a church of any religious faith.
This 'parish' is made up of active duty, veteran and retired members of the finest, best trained, best equipped, most dedicated fighting force this world has ever known. Yes, we do have some who have no military experience; however, they are of the same quality of individuals and many of those are lifelong civilian supporters of those who have, do and will represent our country, in uniform, throughout the world.
We are brothers-in-arms in reality as well as in the virtual world of on-line gaming. Many of our members have experienced the field shoulder to shoulder and several have long history of computer gaming as far back as Duke Nukem, Command & Conquer, Red Alert, etc. In 2003, while some were on-line playing Tom Clancy Raven Shield, the team we now know as the Church of Clancy was born.
The registered gaming tag is COC_ and has seen action in the Battlefield2 (BF2) series and the Call of Duty (COD) series. Since the Fall of 2009, when we chose to not to support the release of COD-ModernWarfare2, we began expanding the game types and servers which we run. There was a period where several played Company of Heroes (COH) before we returned to FPS games. The church maintained a Battlefield-BadCompany2 server for a short time in 2010. We maintained a single server for Medal of Honor (2010) for a period of several months. We have yet to stand up a Battlefield 3 server.
