EUBG = Euro Battlegroup (Clantag)

Eine EU Battlegroup (kurz: EUBG) oder EU-Kampfgruppe ist eine für jeweils ein halbes Jahr aufgestellte militärische Formation der Krisenreaktionskräfte der Europäischen Union (EU) in hoher Verfügbarkeit.
Sie besteht im Kern aus einem Infanterieverband in Bataillonsstärke und einem Führungselement.
Sie ist für Erstmissionen in einer Krisenregion gedacht und schafft die nötigen Voraussetzungen für einen weiteren Einsatz (z.B. im Rahmen der UNO).

An EU Battle Group (short EUBG) or EU battle group is established for a six-month military formation of rapid reaction forces of the European Union (EU) in high availability.
It consists basically of an infantry battalion in association strength and a guide member.
It is intended for Erstmissionen in a crisis region and create the necessary conditions for the further use (eg as part of the UN).
