A Platoon for players who want to play casually (no rank structure, no orders, no demands), but also like to play the game the way it was meant to be played: AS A TEAM.

The Casual Killers Squad is dedicated to a very simple goal:

Play for fun
Play to win

Teamwork is the name of the game. Bring a microphone so you can chat with the team. Communicate effectively. Individual skill isn't important. All the matters is we work as a team and communicate to bring home victory.

We don't hold people down to a schedule of games that must be played. We want to foster the growth of the group through casual sessions that crop up whenever we're online.

CHAT CLIENT: Mumble

1. Download the mumble client version 1.2.3a.msi (google mumble).
2. Go through the steps to install the client (will vary between users).
3. After everything is up and running, press "Ctrl+O" to browse servers
4. Click on "Add new..." enter the following info:
a. LABEL: "CKS vchat"
b. ADDRESS "voice.thegeeks.us"
c. USERNAME: Just use your BL name for simplicity, but it doesn't matter

5. Join the "Red Room" chat channel.
6. To use positional audio, enable it in "settings" with the "Advanced" check-box ON, under "Audio Output".
7. You must also turn on "Link to Game and Transmit Position."
a. For best results, it's important that we all have the same settings so there aren't cases where some people can hear each other and others cannot.
b. Minimum Distance 1.0m
c. Bloom 175%
d. Maximum Distance 40.5m
e. Minimum Volume 20%

8. If it's not working, make sure that you have the BF3 plugin installed in the "Plugins" tab.

Also in order to add [CKS] to you name just go to profile>edit profile then enter CKS as your clan tag and save changes. Please do this if you are in our platoon so we can more quickly identify each other mid match when our group gets larger.

Also, it's highly preferred that you add all the other leaders and me to your friends list on B.L. This is so that we can comment on each other's platoon wall posts. I'd love for all active members to be B.L. friends, but I understand if it never happens.
