The Special Operations Group is a newly founded group for gamers of a mature, tactical and disciplined attitude to effectively use tactics, vehicles, weapons and equipment to out-play enemy opposition.

SOG was created on the 17th of March 2013.
Official SOG Website was created on the 19th of March 2013.

Currently, The aim for the short term goal for SOG is to find members of the same nature to form a base platoon on which we will use to play in scrims, events and tourneys across many well-known brands.
We have a team on Fn.Com which is recruting for an upcoming ladder.

To begin with, it will consist of no more then 20 fully fledged SOG troopers, four 4-man fireteams commanded each by a Fireteam Leader. Plus a 4 man command support group consisting of, 2 Squad leaders, a Platoon Leader & Me, Pipes, The Troop Leader.

We will become a tight-knit group, Working closely to build SOG into a well-known & respected clan throughout.

Once accepted you will become training to be a SOG Trooper you will get to know your comrades well, Thier playstyle, strengths & weaknesses and feel at ease knowing that the man next to you, is also wearing the SOG tag.

Joining Criteria
- 18 years of age or older
- a +1 k/d ratio
- a spm of 500+
- good use of mic
- will to learn & listen

All recruits under-go a trial period where SL upto TL will evaluate thier performance on;
- Voice Comms
- Tactical Awareness
- GunSkill (the right weapon for the right scenario)
- in game skill
- thier ability to follow through and complete orders

As time progresses, we will no doubt grow. Therefore the longer term plan is there and as follows;
- Once a 20-Man Troop is fully manned and battle-tested, Promotions & Awards will be given to honoured staff of SOG.
- Competitive Teams will be in play as soon as Possible, TL to SM will be competiting to begin with.
- Medals & Awards are now available within official website, but however need to be earned from pro-longed positive service.
- Promotions will be recieved and positions of SOG members will be stated below this initial briefing & within offical website.
- Ultimatly to become a competitive BF3 team, perfecting our skills and tactics through ladders, tourneys & practice sessions to be battle veterans for BF4s release.

Remembering, As we are small now we are sure to grow but we must focus on our key core skills as a small tactical force to find success.
We WILL be transitioning to next-gen consoles and new releases.
Positions are open and available, From Squad Member, to Platoon Leader.
Once we grow in numbers, trusted and respected members will be first in line for higher positions in our CoC.

Recruiting and Try-Outs are underway, SOG Troopers are not privelaged with the SOG Tag until a fully instated Squad Member. There are 2 recruits currently going through selection.

Command Structure

Troop Leader or TL are more common to be the rank of CPT, He would be responsable for the direct admin of his troop. Linked in communication daily with his PL & SL. All duties below would come under a TL's responsability.

Platoon Leader or PL, more common to be the rank of leautenant, responsable for ensuring overwatch on squad training programmes, promotion & demotion within thier platoon and competition admin duties of squads under thier command.

Squad leaders or SL are regularly seen at the rank of SGT. Controlling thier squads in training sessions, matches and ladders. In day to day direct contact with thier FTL ensuring any issues or problems are sorted or passed up the CoC.

Fireteam Leaders or FTL are more known to branded with the rank of CPL, the first point of contact for troubled SM. Would be the first stepping stone up the CoC. Responsable for thier immediate SM in & out of game. Ensuring good professional conduct & behaviour is pursued at all times.

Squad Members or SM, the position recieved when first passing your recruitmet phase and being assigned to a squad. This is your time to shine and show that you are a future NCO of SOG . Good Luck Trooper!
