At the forefront of any battle, the 97th Airborne is a no nonsense, highly tactical platoon of motivated individuals with a wide array of skills, including breaking spawn traps, defending key positions and armoured warfare. Always supportive and vigilant, we operate where someone is needed to be. Whether that be in the thick of the fighting, a crucial objective or behind enemy lines, our services are important when a team needs versatile and sophisticated tactical operators to win a war.
Our fighting style primarily encompasses key qualities from the following soldier types:
- Special Forces
- Paratroopers
- Mechanised infantry
Qualities valued by the the platoon:
- Fidelity
- Teamwork
- Tactical ability
- Motivation
- Unwavering morale and spirit
- Maturity
We normally form ad-hoc squads, as a combination of friends and allied players. As such, we are an adaptable force. Communication, awareness and tactical positioning are crucial to winning engagements and taking objectives, and you can expect us to work alongside like minded individuals.
We recognise effort more than pure skill, and encourage operators (members) to maintain a respectful conduct at all times, as in life. Discrimination of race, sex or creed is tantamount to disgrace and can result in punishments of demotion, complex drilling and practice or dishonourable discharge (that essentially means you get kicked). Insubordination without justification (Not following orders without a good reason), vulgar and unpleasant behaviour alongside other unmentioned disgraceful behaviours are also punishable. Unsupportive, rowdy, pessimistic and selfish players are shunned apon and are not taken into consideration as quality of character correlates to an ability to perform cohesive, positive and efficient teamplay.
In order to apply send me a message on Xbox Live (Architect 1997) and I'll see how you go on the Battlefield. All operators are taken into equal consideration as long as they are consistent in their efforts. You are NOT required to participate in platoon activities 24/7. When you are up to the task and have proven yourself worthy of being an operator, you have graduated into our ranks and have the right to bear the clan tag and represent our proud clan or pursue your own agenda if you wish. Apon graduation you are promoted and are encouraged to invite potential operators or promote our services. You will know you have graduated if you are elevated to leader status where you will receive 'operator' designation over 'cadet' which is what you start with.
Once an operator, always an operator. If you choose to rejoin assuming you have left, you are more than welcome. Prolonged stay can instil a sense of pride as well as learning key components to fighting on the Battlefield.
Requirements:
- Willing participant
- Team player who follows orders
- High morale and spirit
- Basic firefighting skills
- Basic vehicular skills (Jeep, tank)
- Understanding of game concepts and jargon
- A mike, or by the very least an acute sense of hearing
Optional areas (recommended):
- Piloting skills (Jet, helicopter)
- Dedicated class (full equipment on class)
- Explosives expert (C4, mines)
- Infiltration skills
- Recon specialist (Marksman, reconnaissance roles)
- Knowledge of NATO phonic alphabet (Alpha-Zulu)
- Knowledge of key military terms (Flanking, suppressive fire etc.)
- Colonel and above
We have been inactive for a while, but as of early 2014 our efforts to re-establish are in effect. This is the guide to our way of playing Battlefield. If you have any questions, contact me (Architect 1997) on Xbox Live or my email futureconflict000@gmail.com. If you want me to write something for you, you are more than welcome to ask.
