A27 is a gaming clan that was founded back in 2005. Originally centralized around the Halo franchise, we have gradually expanded to incorporate other games into the fold. Battlefield 3 has become the most recent title to have been embraced by our members. Diversity is encouraged and the A27 community is open to all gamers who seek to enjoy both casual and competitive gaming. To join the clan, one must undergo tryouts which factor in many traits of the gamer such as amiability, skill, and respectful nature. Even if there is no intention to become part of the clan, feel free to join the forums and be part of the community. Due to the nature of some of our discussions, it is not recommended for players under the age of 14 to join.

How To Join
While we are very open to most people who join our forums and take part of our community, the A27 clan is a bit more particular on who can actually join the clan. This is where tryouts come in. Don't worry, we're not as competitive anymore so the criteria is not as tough as the term "tryouts" implicates. Here's what our recruiters are looking for:
- The player must not suck. We're not asking for a high k/d or w/l ratio. We're just asking for someone who doesn't need looking after while we're playing a game. The player must not weigh down the team or hinder its progress due to excessive lack of skill.
- We're looking for people who respect others and have amiable personalities. This has become very crucial over the years because we're not looking for constant bickering and fights over the forums or during online gameplay. Everyone has their own opinion and we don't care if you voice it. Just do so in a non-insulting manner.
- Participation is important for A27 members. We ask that those trying out be active on the forums for two weeks prior to being accepted into the clan. That way, we'll be able to monitor not only his/her levels of activity, but to see if the rules of respect are followed, as well. For those who play on XBL, having a mic is highly recommended (although it's not a deal-breaker). Once becoming an A27 member, the minimum requirement of forum activity is only one post per month. This may seem low compared to other clans, but we fully understand the significance of school and work as well as other things that may arise in one's personal life.
