BESPREDEL!
"bespredel" (a Russian word connoting limitless power and total license) It means "without limits" or "without order." It was used in the 1990's to describe the economic and criminal chaos unleashed by perestroika, when the only codes that reigned emanated from the prisons and the mafia. Chechens use it to describe the Russian military's lawlessness. Russian soldiers sometimes use it to describe their own excesses. the extreme lawlessness (bespredel) is bespredel [chaos, free-for-all, etc. From byez predyela: without limits] "Polnyi bespredel" (total absence of law and order), as they say in Russia. It is known as bespredel, a Russian slang term that means excessive abuse of power, and, in Chechnya especially, "unlimited violence." The Russians have a word for it - "bespredel".
