The Green Mountain Boys were a militia organization first established in the 1760s in the territory between the British provinces of New York and New Hampshire, known as the New Hampshire Grants (which later became the state of Vermont). Headed by Ethan Allen and members of his extended family, they were instrumental in resisting New York's attempts to control the territory, over which it had won de jure control in a territorial dispute with New Hampshire.

-..... When these disputes led to the formation of the Vermont Republic in 1777, the Green Mountain Boys became the state militia. Some companies served in the American Revolutionary War, including notably the 1775 Capture of Fort Ticonderoga, the 1775 invasion of Canada, and 1777 battles at Hubbardton and Bennington.
Following Vermont's admission to the Union in 1791, the original organization essentially disbanded. The Green Mountain Boys mustered again during the War of 1812, the Civil War, and the Spanish-American War. Today it is the informal name of the Vermont National Guard which comprises both the Army and Air National Guards.

- Fast forward 200 years and you arrive here to the home of the Green Mountain Boys of BF3. All Native Vermont gamers are welcome to join. No damn flat landers allowed!!!

- A Platoon for experienced Players, This is GMB from Mixed Nationalities; with a common goal...... Team work on the battlefield and the desire to win and learn new things, working together we can become better.

- We will mostly play Conquest & Rush and work as a single unit; we are strong in all areas of the battle (Air, Armored, and Ground). Our Medics, Engineers, Support and Recon all do what they were intended to; IE revive, repair, resupply, and spot. Rather than leave you near death on the field or watch as your tank self destructs, they don’t leave you with only a knife when they could resupply your ammo.

- So if this sounds like the kind of battlefield 3 experience you were looking for but so far are unable to find, then maybe joining up with the Green Mountain Boys is for you.
