Force Brutus was established under the Cold War in 1984 due to the new threat from KGB`s Spetznaz.
And was a result of the killing of the Afghanistan president Hafizullah Amin and his wife, and their two children on the 27th of December in 1979. The result of this was the start of the invasion of Afghanistan.

The primary objectives of Force Brutus is to secure or escort key personnel, CQB and patrol, in case of war. The people in Force Brutus is civilians with ordinary jobs such as office, teachers, lawyers, mechanicans, plumbers, metalworkers. They train a minimum of 30 days a year to maintain the high standards and is set as enough for these men. This because they only have a few areas of operations. No one inside the platoon knows each others full name and the men are not allowed to tell anybody about their connection. When they go on a mission the only people who knows about it will be in the field, except from their commander.
