The Fallschirmjäger were established in WWII as the premier and elite airborne forces of Germany, they earned a reputation of being highly skillful and courageous in battle whilst having the upmost respect for the enemy.
After WWII it was re-established under this name in West Germany, but there was also 1 Airborne branch in East Germany.
They have continued to exist until the present day and are currently serving in Afghanistan under the same name and values.
