AS VAL Mastery
Platoon Presentation
If you're a fan of the AS VAL, it's your #1 gun on the battlefield, know and understand how to operate with it, and have thousands of kills to prove it....join or fan.
The AS VAL was developed during the late 1980's by TsNIITochMash (Central Institute for Precision Machine Building) and is used by Russian Spetsnaz special forces and the MVD, FSB and select units of the Russian Army. Since 1987, it was added to the arsenal of the Soviet Army and the KGB.
The "VAL" has two modes of fire - single shot and automatic fire at a cyclic rate of 900 RPM, and is a fully suppressed PDW (Personal Defense Weapon). Reload time is 1.7 seconds with bullets in the mag, and 2.7 seconds when the clip is empty. The AS VAL deals a max damage of 22 with a low of 16 (stats subject to change in BF3). Its effective range is approximately 300m, as it uses heavy subsonic 9x39mm SP-6 (high performance armor piercing) ammunition.
