GHOST or G.H.O.S.T. (Globally Hired Operational Strike Team) was conceived one late Texas Evening in the summer of 1998 when founder WizBiz and friend Wetwire were discussing plans to put together a team for the upcoming release of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six. Immediately, GHOST becomes a fixture of Microsoft's "The Zone" joining forces with fellow clans Delta and TEU thus forming the Tri-Force.

In October of 1998 Sup? Among others joined the clan of about 15 players. GHOST, TEU, and Delta held an invite only tournament of about 20 clans in which GHOST took home the trophy. This was one of many of our achievements as "Laddering" as we all know it was soon to come for Rainbow Six.

The Clan Ladder run by FOG_Adrenaline was born and GHOST soon joined. These were the glory days of laddering where there were exceptional squads, all with sportsmanship as a priority. With teams like rATF, Delta, SSBO, AZ, sTOP, MC,TEU and GHOST to name a few, the Clanladder became THE place to ladder.

In the beginning of February of 1999 becoming number one on the ladder became our priority one. With Wizbiz's second born on the way, he appointed Viper as our team leader. With Viper at the helm we were consistently matching and by the end of February we defeated SSBO and took the number one spot at Clanladder.com. At this point there were hundreds of clans registered for competition at Clanladder and the challenges for number one were non stop. GHOST held the number one spot until graciously retiring from the ladder the following May. GHOST also participated in theRumble ladder and soon took the coveted number one spot as well.

Passing on Rogue Spear, GHOST found a new love in the FPS genre in Infiltration (An Unreal Mod). Infiltration or "INF" for short was a new breed of FPS using the actual iron sites of the weapon as opposed to the traditional reticule. As WizBiz pleaded for Sup? to come out of retirement for this game he also managed to put together a very solid team of new players to GHOST. The Canadians Killswitch and Mondoguy and also the infamous Camel_Toe joined GHOST. Along with older GHOST members, WizBiz, Sup?, Saint, and the Legendary Graphite (Graphite was probably the most respected and feared player in R6... seriously) GHOST quickly made a name for itself in Infiltration. This was a tight-knit community made up of about 40 clans and instead of laddering, a league with a playoff system was born. GHOST was narrowly defeated by GAT in the internet telecasted "Superbowl" of INF. (Our only game which we did not prevail to the number one spot)

Next up was Ghost Recon where GHOST decided to exclusively play at the Rumble ladder. Sup? recruits Fatguy and Ewokpoacher to fill the team. With former INF players among part of the original squad, GHOST once again takes the number one spot by defeating RAV. This was one of those games where we had quite a few maps down to a science. Can anyone say Airport? The same was to follow in RVS.

Since those times GHOST has stayed with the same roster. As time goes on people come and go, but the main roster of Killswitch, Mondo, Fatguy, Sup?, WizBiz, Franchize, and our forum poster RevRaz have stayed in tact. Now with a brand new squad of new and old, GHOST prepares itself for the next game in GRAW:2. Only time will tell, but if history prevails I have a good feeling of where we'll be.
