Teufel Hunden, “Devil Dog.” These Marines struck fear into the Germans at Belleau Wood in June 1918. Fighting for nearly a month, at times reduced to bayonets and hand-to-hand combat, the Marines pushed the Germans out of the Wood. General Pershing said it best: “The deadliest weapon in the world is a Marine and his rifle!"

US Marine legend tells of Germans saying the Marines fought like “hounds from hell.” To this day, a Marine is still lovingly and respectfully known as a Devil Dog.

While not all of us in THT can claim a military background, we all emulate the ferocity and loyalty of a Marine. We are comrades-in-virtual-arms fighting for each other and the objective. Everyone has a voice and will be heard by the leadership. No one person is bigger than the group.
