Dee Why was described by 'Molly5' of Avalon as being 'not very nice to be honest, a bit rough!' and when compared to to other suburbs on the Northern Beaches, 'Dee Why is not very nice.'

2099 Dee Why is also known as the most Ghetto Suburb on the Northern Beaches and is famous for:

- Kim's Corner store
- The lack of a McDonalds Family Eatery.
- Dee Why KFC.
- Tiens Bakery and its awesome pork rolls.
- Dee Why RSL.
- Long Reef beach (aka the beach with no postcode) which is actually part of Dee why Beach. Fuck you Collaroy Long Reef is part of Dee Why. Nah jk love you Collaroy but Long Reef is still a part of Dee Why.
- Its awesome postcode i.e. 2099.
- The Best Beach on the Northern Beaches and in Sydney. That right better then Manly, better then Palm Beach and definitely better then Bondi and its surrounding beaches, because Dee Why doesn't have a train line, doesn't get swamped by tourists on the weekend and is NOT the filming place of Home and Away.
