Hello,
It came to my attention that some sore losers on BF4 are saying our use of the USPS logo is in violation of the law due copyright infringement. And, faking a "stamp" is a federal offense. First, sorry you lost; it's just a game. Second, here are some hard facts:
1. It is a parody of the US Postal Service graphic logo. It is not an exact copy of it. One cannot be sued for parodies. It was purposely created to be similar, but not exact for this very reason. If you do not understand what a parody is, please look it up with the various English dictionaries available online. It would only take a few seconds and you get to learn something new, for FREE!
2. It is not a stamp. We are not using it as a stamp. We are not selling it as a stamp. We are not selling anything. We are not operating any commercial businesses with this graphic. No money has been exchanged among us or with anyone regarding this graphic. Nor will there ever be.
3. We are the "Postal" clan. We use the clan tag "USPS", in brackets. We do not call ourselves United States Postal Service. Nor have we ever presented ourselves to anyone as "The United States Postal Service". We do not deliver or handle any mail in exchange for payment. What we do is this: we play BF4 together to laugh and vent—to go postal (get it?) without actually hurting anyone physically.
4. IF it is illegal to use the letters U-S-P-S as an online gaming clan tag, then it too would be illegal for clans like USMC to use theirs. What about the Chuck Norris clan (CN)? They too would be illegal. WRONG. Both are parodies and neither are pretending to be the real USMC or Chuck Norris himself (of course not!)
To anyone with a sense of humor and are interested in joining... just friend us and jump in a few games with us. If it's a good fit for all, the next step will come naturally.
That is all.
