-Letter from the founder-

Welcome to the clubhouse, gentlemen.

I'm going to give it to you straight. This is not going to be an easy war to win, and most of you will die before you see the end of it. You knew what you wanted to do with the life you had when you joined the corps, or maybe you were just looking for some way to end your life in a heroic way. Well, whatever you joined the corps for doesn't matter anymore. Forget about it.

What does matter, however, is what you do with the remaining time you have left. Remember, you joined the U.N.S.C. so you could protect everything humanity holds dear by risking your life for the greater good. This is a contract you made when you walked into that recruitment centre and signed those papers. Every soldier to ever exist has signed this contract, be it in words, paper, or actions. Now you have joined the ranks of your predecessors.

It is a great honor to behold, laying down your life for the safety of others. But moving onto different topics, what does it take to win a war? It takes determination. It takes courage. It takes sacrifice. It takes wits and intellect to outsmart the opposition and win a battle. But most of all, courage. Oh, does it take courage. It's courage that keeps you alive in the trenches, peeking out and taking the lives of other humans just like you. It takes courage to keep calm and radio for help if your squad-mate gets critically wounded. It's courage that gets you through a war above anything else.

Let's get out there, and give them hell. Make this the hardest battle they've ever fought. Remember, when you see our emblem on the battlefield, take it as a sign that this is not going to be an easy battle. We are O.D.S.T.'s, after all. That's why we're called helljumpers. We are the best the corps has to offer, and nothing less. Don't be deceived, the enemy isn't going down without a fight. So let's make them regret ever stepping foot onto the soil they have claimed.

We are O.D.S.T.'s. Helljumpers. The best.
Let's show them the gates. Hoorah!
