All tentatively selected candidates from the March 2011 (Special Agents), GL-1811-9, and prior vacancy announcements are currently going through the clearance process which involves the medical examination, drug test, background investigation, and tax audit. Candidates that meet all necessary clearances will be considered for class placement at the IRS Cyber Command Training Facility located in Washington, DC and receive final job offers based on IRS Criminal and Characters Investigation check. Needs for special agents in specific geographical locations as the budget permits. Consideration will be given to the candidate's post of duty (POD) preference list; however, special agents must be available for any POD assignment within the United States, including Puerto Rico.
