CW3 Nathan Gibson earned the callsign "Smoke" in SFOD-D. Members from CW3 Gibson's squad were protected from heavy fire danger close by smoke to cover their position. CW3 Gibson joined the 160th SOAR unit after completing flight school. During the battle of Kharg, CW3 Gibson successfully lased multiple land and air emplacements. With CW3 Gibson's success during this battle, he earned the new callsign "Haunter", for his aggressive use of the AH-6J versus multiple anti-air threats.

CW4 Gibson lead multiple incursions with SOAR. During the battle of Shanghai Gibson earned the callsign "Gengar" for his evolved use of the AH-6J.
