Most players don't seem to understand, how to play the sniper class.You help your team in other ways:
Kill the guy on the stationary TOW/50cal, the bipod guy destroying your team from distance, the stinger guy hiding in the mountains, who is just shooting down you heli. Use a t-ugs to spot the area around objectives or C4 to clear rooms full of enemies or just to shut down a doorway/staircase.
You don't have to be quickscoping in the front line to be effective. If you die, you waste a ticket, but if you do things like I mentioned above, you help your team more than a single guy rushing a flag with 4-5 enemies and wasting tickets. but they are the ones crying most about how "useless" you are and how much you "camp". First understand this class before you cry.
