The Long Range Reconnaissance Group is a dedicated branch of special forces attached to the Air Force. They are known as the "Desert Shadow". Their roles included long range foraging, pathfinding, and enemy assessment. A typical scenario involving the LRRG would be insertion via airdrop into an area soon to become a battlefield. The LRRG find the most strategic positions and relay this intel to the incoming troops. After this, their primary role is done, they proceed to engage in precision strikes against the enemy, harassing, vehicles, deploying behind enemy lines, striking from jeeps and light helicopters.
